Every passage comes from a verified Scripture library rather than being generated. We always name the translation, and the surrounding context is right there whenever you'd like to read more.

Can anyone read what I write?

Your journal is private, and we never use it for advertising. No one on our team can browse it — we only ever see something if you choose to attach it to a support request.

What if I write something while I'm really struggling?

If it seems like you might be in crisis, we'll gently set the usual reflection aside and show you a calm page with real support options instead. We won't try to counsel you — we'd rather point you toward people who can.

Do I have to be a certain kind of Christian to use it?

Not at all. Word for Word stays within historic Christian belief and stays out of secondary denominational debates. You're welcome to tell us your tradition so the language feels like home, and just as welcome not to.

Always. You can export your entries, prayers, and reflections whenever you like, and delete your account and everything in it just as easily.

Do I have to write every day?

We'll pause the usual reflection and show you a calm page with real crisis support for your region. You deserve a person in that moment, not a verse — so we'll help you find one.

Will you contact anyone on my behalf?

No. We won't contact emergency services, your family, or your church. We'll put the help in front of you and leave the choice where it belongs — with you.

Is this a replacement for counselling or pastoral care?
