How we respond
If something you write suggests you may be in crisis, we won't hand you an ordinary reflection. We'll show you a calm page with the support options above instead. We won't offer a verse in place of real help, we won't try to counsel you, and we would never treat what you wrote as a spiritual failing.
What we won't do
- Contact emergency services, your family, or your church on your behalf.
- Lock you out of your journal, or remove anything you wrote.
- Diagnose you or describe you in clinical terms.
Checking we got it right
A small number of these moments may be looked at by trained staff, simply to make sure the app responded the way it should have. That review is about us, not about you, and we keep it to the minimum needed.
Please talk to someone
A journal is a wonderful place to be honest, but it can't be a friend, a pastor, a counsellor, or a doctor. If something keeps returning to your pages, please take that as a nudge to tell a person who loves you — not a reason to carry it alone a while longer.
